When my babies umbilical cord stump fell off .. there was a little blood left .. but very little and it was brownish coz it had dried. But there was no white gooey stuff. If your baby doesnt have fever and otherwise looks ok ( ie doesnt look like he is in pain ), then continue to wipe it with alcohol and dont let water touch it .. maybe avoid giving him a bath for 2-3 days .. just wipe him with a damp cloth leaving the belly button area untouched. If the blood and/or the gooey white stuff persists, then make a doctor’s appointment

Well the part of the cord will be dryed out and of course it falls off. If theres blood and white stuff, just use a q tip with peroxide or achol and rub around it gently it should get better in a few days….Good Luck And Congtrats. I’m sure your son is adorable….

Thats normal. Just wash a few times a day with some salt water, and keep the area dry
